The Summer Project

A serving of rock with a sprinkle of jazz, some funk thrown in for fun and some ballads for good measure. This album has everything! My songwriting has been called eclectic a few times and The Summer Project certainly lives up to this description.

A number of these songs had their beginnings three years ago, some were fully formed at the time, but didn’t make the first album, or were fragments which I added to later. Others are well-travelled from around the world.

Northern summer - some music notes

Was in the UK recently, it’s always interesting to hear what the buskers are singing in a different country, invariably reminds you about songs you haven’t heard for a long time and want to revisit.

I made a pilgrimage to the famous Abbey Road in London which featured on the cover of that Beatles album. They recorded most of their tracks at the nearby Abbey Road studios, and the studio has seen many other well-known artists, check out this list: 

And the locals in Devon, England are somewhat selective about their music!
